If you want your Tampa Bay patio area to function year‑round, then a solid patio cover is right for you. But if you want a patio cover that keeps your patio area cool in the summer and warmer in the winter, than an insulated patio cover is even better. The solid, insulated patio cover provides the most functionality no matter what the Tampa Bay weather decides to do.
Insulated Laminated Roof Panels (LRP) are manufactured with high density expanded polystyrene cores (EPS) that are uniformly bonded between two heavy gauge textured aluminum skins. The resulting one‑piece insulated panel system creates a patio cover with superior strength, long term durability, high performance insulating characteristics and a very pleasing aesthetic shade structure that will enhance your patio area in the Tampa Bay area.
Typically, most buyers pay somewhere in the range of $7 to $14 per square foot for foam insulated panel materials only. (*Prices are subject to change due to inflation and availability.) The labor to install can add $1 or more per sq foot however there is a tradeoff using this all in one single assembly compared to other assemblies which include outer panel, fiberglass insulation with interior liner. The lower figure represents what you might expect to pay for a 2”, approx. R-15 value insulation system, while the higher quote is closer to what you might pay for an 8”, R-48 insulation system.
